“Beyond the Music: A Musical Geography of Mexico”

QUIZ: Where are Tapatíos, Jarochos, Regios, Chilangos, and Calentanos from? What is their music like, and how did it come to sound like that?

Experience a guided tour through Mexico’s folk music regions with live demonstrations by the Ensemble. Find out everything you ever wanted to know about Mexico’s regional folk culture and music (but were afraid to ask.)

ADMISSION IS FREE AND OPEN TO THE PUBLIC.

The concert will be preceded by a Dinner/Reception at La Casa, Indiana University Latino Cultural Center, 715 E 7th St., Bloomington IN. It is open to the public from 5-6pm.
