Sones de Mexico Ensemble kicks off Hispanic Heritage Month and the Frankfort Hispanic Heritage Festival with our signature “Beyond The Music” lecture demonstration.

Experience a guided tour through Mexico’s folk music regions with music, dance, narration, and multimedia. Different regions of the country have unique instruments, repertoire and techniques rarely heard outside these regions. Some of the styles covered include son jarocho, son huasteco, gusto, son istmeño, chilenas, and a dozen other styles.
