UNAM Internacional presenta: Geografía musical de México

UNAM International presents a special Spanish language edition of our signature “Beyond the Music: A Musical Geography of Mexico.”

The program premieres on the YouTube Channels of six UNAM campuses across the U.S. and Canada: Los Angeles, San Antonio, Boston, Tucson, Chicago, and Quebec.

Experience a guided tour through Mexico’s folk music regions with music, narration, and multimedia. Different regions of the country have unique instruments, repertoire, and techniques rarely heard outside these regions. Styles covered include son jarocho, son huasteco, gusto, son istmeño, chilenas, and a dozen other styles.

The program begins at 6:00 PM Central time, 4:00 PM Pacific time, and 6:00 PM Eastern
