Sones de México Ensemble will join dozens of premiere folk artists at the Evanston Folk Festival in beautiful Dawes Park overlooking Lake Michigan. Sones de México Ensemble hits the stage at 2:00 PM on Sunday, but there is plenty of great music to be heard on both days of the Fest.

The first-ever Evanston Folk Festival will take place on the lakefront at Dawes Park: Saturday, September 7 + Sunday, September 8 from 11:30am to 8:30pm. Join us on our spectacular lake front for a celebration of the rich folk music tradition that has guided Space since day one, and has so many roots in our Evanston community. A folky folk festival if ever there was one, and with the most stunning views of Lake Michigan, we’re honored to be entrusted with this special location and responsibility.
