Join Sones de México Ensemble for Parent University Day, a program of the Prairie Oaks School. The program is FREE and OPEN TO THE PUBLIC.

Prairie Oaks School is located at 1427 Oak Park Ave, Berwyn, IL 60402.

Parent University Day is a full day of workshops and fun learning activities for parents and their children offered by the Berwyn North School District 98.

We’ll be giving some of our most popular workshops for children, including the La Danza del Sol Aztec Dance Workshop, the Danza de Viejitos Mask Making Workshop and Mimetic Dances of Guerrero.

Available for three age groups:

3-5 year olds (team RED)
6-8 year olds (team BLUE)
9-11 year olds (team GREEN)

The day culminates with Fiesta Mexicana, Sones de México Ensemble’s interactive family concert based on their Parents’ Choice™ Award winning album of the same name. Find out what a crawfish, a cowboy mouse, and a 100-year-old woman have in common!

This is a terrific opportunity to spend time with your kids in fun activities rooted in Mexican culture with Sones de México.
